Five members of the Eisenhower Middle School (EMS) Academic Team will compete in the Tournament of Champions in April after placing at the Moore Invitational Scholastic Challenge on Nov. 9.
More than 200 students in sixth, seventh and eighth grades took 584 subject specified tests at the Moore Challenge. Of those students, 171 qualified for the Tournament of Champions.
EMS students who placed are: Joshua Kim placed fifth in sixth grade Current Events; Grayson Haley tied for first place in seventh grade Math; Donovan Bear placed third in seventh grade Math; Jacob Reimer placed fourth in seventh grade Math; and Steven Arellanez placed third in seventh grade Current Events.
