An 18-year-old Lawton man is in jail on $100,000 bond after he was charged with allegations of sexually abusing a 2-year-old boy.
Michael Scot Oldaker made his initial appearance Monday in Comanche County District Court where he received felony charges of sodomy of a victim under 16 and lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, as well as a misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, records indicate. The felony counts are each punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Lawton Police Sgt. Chris Puetz stated he was called shortly before 6:15 p.m. April 3 to 2804 SW J regarding a sexual assault of a minor. He arrived and Oldaker was detained.
The officer spoke with the child’s mother who said Oldaker had been in the living room with her two children while she went to the back to do laundry. She said she felt like something was off and returned to find her 2-year-old and Oldaker missing from the living room, the probable cause affidavit states.
The woman said she found Oldaker orally sodomizing the young boy and she took her child while yelling at the man, the affidavit states. Oldaker was pushed out of the house and police were called. The woman said Oldaker has a history of exposing himself to family members, according to Puetz.
Video from a camera in the home’s kitchen showed Oldaker pacing around the living room while looking around before picking up the boy’s car seat with the child sitting in it and moved it out of camera view and into the hallway, according to the affidavit. A THC vape was recovered from Oldaker’s pocket, Puetz stated.
As part of Oldaker’s bond condition, he is to have no contact with the child or witnesses. He returns to court at 3:30 p.m. June 27 for his preliminary hearing, records indicate.
