Three teachers in the Lawton area will receive grants from American Electric Power Foundation FFA STEM After-School grants.
In Southwest Oklahoma, FFA chapters in Elgin, Fletcher and Carnegie will receive grants. In all, 18 FFA chapters across the state will receive more than $36,000 in grants.
Fletcher FFA received $1,300 for a project to have students make fishing bait out of plastic. Carnegie FFA will use its $2,382 for a communications project and Elgin received $2,500 for a STEM project.
