Dusty Deevers wants to blend his conservative and Christian values to serve resident in Senate District 32.
Deevers has been pastor of Grace Reformed Baptist Church of Elgin since 2016. After graduating from Oklahoma City University with a bachelor of science degree in biology, he earned a masters of divinity degree with language from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
As the CEO of Deevers Properties, Deevers said he also is a businessman with a background to help restore the state’s potential as an economic powerhouse. At the same time, he cites his strong Christian faith and commitment that will help him in his Senate efforts.
His other issues include a pledge to abolish abortion and to support the Prenatal Equal Protection Act. Deevers said he will champion biblical economic principles by promoting limited government intervention, foster free market competition, and advocate for sound monetary policies.
He also pledges to champion of veterans military affairs, noting District 32 has the highest percentage of veterans in the state with Comanche County. That work will include bolstering support for job opportunities and mental health care.
