A special exhibit is being put together to celebrate a century of Southwest Oklahoma princesses.
The Comanche Nation Princess Sorority is asking all tribal princesses past and present to help with items for the upcoming exhibit at the Comanche National Museum and Cultural Center, 701 NW Ferris, recognizing 100 years of Comanche Nation princesses, according to Jolene Schonchin, tribe public information director and a past princess.
“All Comanche Nation princesses are welcome to display any items such as crowns, regalia, banners, shawls, blankets, buckskin, dresses, cloth/buckskin dresses, etc., to highlight the year they represented the Comanche Nation,” she said. “It will be the exhibit for the Comanche Fair and will begin the week of Sept. 23.”
The deadline to sign up items is Friday. Paperwork must be filled out and all items will be returned.
