The KaShanta Sims Foundation will host its annual fundraiser from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. today and Saturday at 3001 NE Cimarron Trail.
Miscellaneous items, including furniture, kitchen items, clothing, bedding, art and rugs will be for sale.
The KaShanta Sims Foundation is a 501©3 faith-based foundation in Lawton. It was organized for educational and charitable purposes in 2015 and is born from the late KaShanta Sims, who was the original founder and president, according to its website.
Tax deductible donations will help to educate the public about the rare, super-aggressive breast cancer which plagues African-American females ages 40 to 50 about 97 percent of the time, introduce healthy lifestyle solutions, provide financial support for patients’ basic necessities and medical expenses and fund research.
