HODGEN — A Marlow motorcyclist is in an Arkansas hospital following a Saturday morning wreck caused by dodging animals on a LeFlore County highway.
Jimmy Burch, 44, was flown to Saint Vincent’s Hospital in Hot Springs, Ark., where he was admitted in stable condition with head and external injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Burch was driving a Honda VT7 southbound on U.S. 259 shortly before 12:45 a.m. Saturday when he attempted to avoid animals in the roadway, lost control and laid the bike over about 9 miles south of Hodgen, Trooper Joshua Wiles reported.
The driver was not wearing a helmet, according to the report.
