Duncan Realtor named state Realtor of the Year

OKLAHOMA CITY — Renee Hoover-Payton of Duncan Association of Realtors was named Realtor of the year at the Oklahoma association’s 2024 Annual Conference.

The “Ready to SOAR” conference, held from Oct. 7-9 at the Skirvin Hilton in Oklahoma City explored market dynamics, industry changes, and celebrated notable individual contributions.

Attendees heard from expert speakers, including Abhi Golhar, who inspired the audience with his presentation “Winning with Doubt: Doubt is the New Power Tool.” The conference also featured breakout and panel sessions on topics such as leveraging YouTube for business growth, embracing uncertainty as a catalyst for growth, fair housing awareness, estate planning and an introduction to commercial real estate.

The conference culminated in the announcement of this year’s award recipients. The Oklahoma REALTORS® recognized these exceptional individuals for their dedication to elevating real estate practices and positively impacting the communities they serve daily.

“This conference is not just about education and networking — it’s about celebrating the Realtor members who make real estate in Oklahoma something to be proud of,” CEO of Oklahoma Realtor Bryan “Hutch” Hutchinson said. “We honor these individuals for their leadership and passion for their communities. Housing is a basic human need, and Realtors help our community members buy, sell, and lease real property in Oklahoma every day. For that, they should be celebrated.”

The Oklahoma Realtors also recognized the LeadershipOAR Class of 2024 who completed the program leading up to the conference. LeadershipOAR is a program designed to acknowledge those Realtor members who have developed leadership and team-building skills, increased their industry knowledge, and set themselves apart as emerging leaders in the real estate industry.

Area members of the class included Emory Allen, Altus Association of Realtors and Tara Harper, Duncan Association of Realtors.
