ANADARKO — A woman died after her vehicle fell into a Caddo County park pond Saturday morning.
Anadarko Police and fire/EMS personnel were called shortly before 11:15 a.m. Saturday to the area of the Randlett Park pond regarding a vehicle in the water. Witnesses told police they’d seen an SUV in the water and heard a woman inside calling for help before it went under water and out of sight.
Responders went into the water in an attempt to find the submerged vehicle, but the water’s depth prevented rescue efforts, according to police.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Dive Team was called in to assist and were able to locate and recover a 2007 GMC Yukon with a 31-year-old woman inside.
The woman’s name is not being released at this time, according to police.
