OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) inmate from Lawton who had been wanted after walking away Tuesday morning walked back into custody that night.
Caleb Joe Fountain, 29, an inmate at Clara Waters Community Corrections Center in Oklahoma City, returned to the facility around 11 p.m. Tuesday, according to Kay Thompson, Chief of Public Relations for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. Where he’d been over the course of the day is not known, she said.
“He walked into central control, so I’m not sure where all he went,” she said. “I would bet he didn’t make it that far.”
Fountain been declared to have unlawfully walked away at approximately 10:25 a.m. on Tuesday. He is serving a two-year sentence for unauthorized use of a vehicle out of Comanche County. Records indicate he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years in prison and two years suspended on Aug. 23.
