ANADARKO — A Newalla woman is wanted for allegations she enabled child neglect with her then-boyfriend.
A felony arrest warrant was issued Monday in Caddo County District Court for Sheena Jean Engender, 34, for two counts of enabling child neglect, records indicate.
Carnegie police were investigating Daniel Dawson for allegations of repeatedly raping and sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl beginning when she was a pre-teen. Dawson, 34, of Carnegie, was arrested and charged in February 2022 with three counts of child sexual abuse and two counts of first-degree rape, records indicate.
On Sept. 29, a friend of the girl’s told investigators that she’d stayed overnight with the girl when they were in 10th grade. She, too, claimed Dawson had groped her while she was asleep. According to the warrant affidavit, she said Egender regularly provided marijuana and liquor to the teen girls. She has not been implicated in Dawson’s allegations, however.
Dawson has been in jail on $250,000 bond since his initial court appearance. Records indicate he is to begin jury trial on his charges at 9 a.m. Nov. 13.
