An allegation of taking advantage of his girlfriend while she was passed out has the law on the lookout to arrest a 34-year-old Lawton man.
The Comanche County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant Wednesday for Steven Michael Dissette for a count of rape by instrumentation, records indicate. The crime is punishable by between five years to life in prison.
On Sept. 4, the woman reported she’d been sexually assaulted by Dissette on Aug. 19.
The woman told investigators she’d taken prescription medication and had an alcoholic beverage that caused her to pass out, putting her in and out of consciousness, Detective Joshua Gardner stated.
The woman said at one point, Dissette was violently sexually assaulting her, the probable cause affidavit states. She also claimed he’d tried to position her for sex, but she was limp and unable to be positioned, Gardner stated.
An audio file of the woman and Dissette arguing about the incident was turned over to the detective. The recording had Dissette not denying the incident and admitting the woman said no “at one point,” according to the affidavit.
A $50,000 cash bond was issued upon Dissette’s arrest.
