Lawton Public Library is making it easier for children to get new books.
The library will host a Children’s Book Swap from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the library, 110 SW 4th. Officials say the event is a great opportunity for families to refresh their children’s libraries with new-to-you books.
Participants should bring in new or gently used books, geared toward youth up to age 18; books should be in good condition. Children then will be able to swap those books for an equal amount of new-to-you books.
Those who want to skip the line and check-in process may apply for a voucher by bringing up to 20 gently used children’s books per family to the Main Library through Friday. The voucher may then be used at Saturday’s Book Swap.
