A master plan to guide Lawton’s mass transit system will be the topic of public meetings in March.
The City of Lawton, Lawton Area Transit System (LATS) and Hendrickson Transportation Group will hold public meetings at 5 p.m. March 11 and March 12 in the banquet room of Lawton City Hall, Southwest 9th and C. In addition, a public hearing on the master plan will be held at 2 p.m. March 12 in the auditorium of Lawton City Hall.
All three sessions will focus on the final draft of the Transit Master Plan for LATS. The meeting also will provide information on new services, including new fixed routes and amenities.
Public comment cards are available for anyone to make comments prior to the March 11 public meeting. Cards are located at the LATS Office, located at 611 Bishop Road. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Public comments also may be made on the LATS website, www.ridelats.com, under the icon Master Plan.
