Police have identified the man killed in a Sunday night shooting.
Corliss Howell, 64, was found dead from a gunshot wound at 1604 SW E, according to Lawton police. His is the third death by homicide in the city this year, according to Constitution records.
Police were called shortly after 9 p.m. to 1604 SW E on the report of a shooting and were told the suspect was still inside the home. Following commands to step out with his hands up and surrender, the suspect complied and was taken into custody, according to Sgt. Christopher Blesssing, Lawton Police information officer.
The suspect remains in the City Jail logs as of Thursday afternoon and has not been formally charged.
