As you can tell, there were not a lot of scores for the honor roll this week as several leagues took time off between holidays. It also just so happens to be halfway through the season for most leagues, so it’s a nice little break for multiple reasons.
With the Early Bird league being on Monday nights, neither Christmas nor New Year’s celebrations were a factor, so like a couple of other leagues with the same scenario, the show continued.
Taking us into 2025 was Brant Hill with the high series last week of 735. Hill had games of 225, 279, and 231 for the top set, but high game honors went to Bruce Flack from the same league, put-ting a 287 on the board for game two.
Flack struggled in game one but finished strong with this game and a 244 closer to allow for a 713 series to bid a fond farewell to 2024.
In late-breaking news from the TNT with scores from their last outing on Dec. 19th, Joe Haywood led the gathering with a 714 that went 214, 267, and 233, followed by Andrew Jones who rolled 702 on games of 200, 233, and 269.
Lastly, Chad Perry made one last performance for 2024 with a 706 series posted in the Goodyear league on games of 269, 247, and 190.
As they say, that’s a wrap folks. Honors, according to my count for the year of 2024, totaled thirty-five in all with a breakdown of 1-278, 8-290s, 1-296, 1-297, 4-298s, 4-299s, 12-300 games, and 4 each 800 series, including a possible 2024-2025 season high of 844 courtesy of Ted Williams.
It is what it is! Not the greatest year on record by far, but not the worst either, leaving lots of room for improvement for 2025.
