Galilee Missionary Baptist Church General Missionary Society will host Life Skills training for Youth and Adults Saturday.
The session will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the church, 7 NE Dr. L.K. Jones Avenue.
Officials said the training is designed to help prepare young people for success in the most general areas of life, so they will be successful in every aspect of life.
Training sessions offered will be Dress for Success, Personal Hygiene, Technology, Communication, Friendship and Dining Etiquette (which will include a lunch meal). There also will be a special presentation on resources from the health care community and a session on Bullying. There is no cost to attend this event and the public is invited.
Church officials said the target audience is youth in grades 2nd through 12th and their parents, but younger youth are welcome. Parents who bring their children and attend all sessions will receive special incentive gifts and a chance to win a $100 gift card.
Registration deadline is Tuesday. Space is limited, so participants should register early. Participants may register electronically at EVENTBRITE.COM or call to register at (580) 353-0683 or fax your registration forms to (580) 353-4018 no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday.
