Friday is the last day to register for residents who want to vote in the Nov. 5 General Election.
Residents who are not already registered may do so at the Comanche County Election Board Office, located in Room 206 of the Comanche County Courthouse, 315 SW 5th. Registration also may be made at the Oklahoma Election Board at elections.ok.gov.
To register, you will need a driver license/State ID.
Registration is restricted to those who are citizens of the United States, residents of Oklahoma and are at least age 18 or will be 18 on election day. Voter registration is not final until the county election board secretary in the county where you live has approved the application. Once that has been done, you will be mailed a voter identification card to confirm registration. That card can be used as proof of identity when casting a ballot.
