FREDERICK — A Tillman County man was hospitalized following a Thursday afternoon wreck southwest of Frederick.
Andres Hernandez, 65, of Frederick, was admitted to Comanche County Memorial Hospital in stable condition with head and internal trunk injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Hernandez was driving a GMC Sierra northbound on a Tillman County dirt road around 5:30 p.m. Thursday when he struck a trailer behind a Ford 350 driven by Sheridan Spraggins before it cleared the intersection, Trooper Christopher Arganbright reported. Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt.
Spraggins, 16, of Indiahoma, was not injured, according to the report.
Arganbright reported failure to yield as the collision’s cause.
