Four candidates have entered the race for Comanche County Sheriff, as the second day of filings concluded for county, state and federal offices.

All but two incumbents in those races have filed for re-election, with one of the open seats belonging to the office now held by long-time Sheriff Kenny Stradley (who has said he will not seek re-election). Thursday, RepublicanDell Galloway, 58, Lawton, and Democrat David Stroud, 66, Elgin, said they would join Republicans Andy Moon, 46, Lawton, and Michael Merritt, 56, Lawton, in the race for county sheriff.

The final day of filing is today, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at county election boards for county offices, and the Oklahoma State Election Board in Oklahoma City for state and federal offices. Candidates who have filed so far are:

COMANCHE COUNTY

Central District (2) Commissioner: Republican: Incumbent Johnny Owens, 80, Lawton.

County Clerk: Republican: Incumbent Carrie Tubbs, 54, Lawton.

Court Clerk: Republican: Incumbent Robert Morales, 70, Lawton.

County Sheriff: Republican: Andy Moon, 46, Lawton; Michael Merritt, 56, Lawton; Dell Galloway, 58, Lawton. Democrat: David Stroud, 66, Elgin.

Geronimo Mayor (non-partisan race): Adam Hartle, 42, Geronimo.

U.S. HOUSE

3rd District: Republican: Darren Hamilton, 52, Fort Supply; Incumbent Frank D. Lucas, 64, Cheyenne; Robyn Lynn Carder, 57, Sand Springs.

4th District: Republican: Incumbent Tom Cole, 74, Moore; Andrew Hayes, 40, Lawton; Paul L. Bondar, 44, Stonewall. Democrat: Mary Brannon, 72, Washington; Kody Macaulay, 35, Moore. Independent: James Stacy, 60, Burneyville.

STATE SENATE

District 31: Republican: Incumbent Chris Kidd, 44, Ringling.

STATE REPRESENTATIVES

District 50: Republican: Stacy Jo Adams, 49, Duncan; Andrew Aldridge, 31, Duncan; Clayton T. Pickard, 61, Duncan.

District 51: Republican: Incumbent Brad Boyles, 40, Marlow.

District 52: Republican; Incumbent Gerrid E. Kendrix, 56, Altus.

District 55: Republican: Incumbent Nick Archer, 39, Elk City.

District 62: Republican: Incumbent Daniel Pae, 28, Lawton. Democrat: Allison Offield, 54, Lawton.

District 63: Republican: Incumbent Trey Caldwell, 35, Faxon. Democrat: Shykira Smith, 45, Lawton.

District 64: Republican: Incumbent Rande Worthen, 67, Lawton.

District 65: Republican: Incumbent Toni Hasenbeck, 52, Elgin.
