MEDICINE PARK — A wreck with a tree in Comanche County sent a Cyril man to the hospital in serious condition, Thursday morning, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
John R. McIntosh was driving a GMC Suburban southbound on U.S. 62 shortly before 7 a.m. when, for an unknown reason, he went off the roadway to the left and struck a tree at Northeast McCracken Road, about 2 miles north of Medicine Park, Trooper Jacob Dickinson reported. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
McIntosh, 41, was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital and later transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in serious condition with head, leg and internal trunk injuries, according to the report.
The driver’s condition and cause of the wreck remain under investigation, Dickinson reported.
