Residents scheduled for curbside bulk pickup this week will not receive it, while City of Lawton crews continue cleanup activities from the June 15 storms.
The first Wednesday of the month typically marks the beginning of curbside pickup for residential customers in Area 1, or residents who have their weekly household trash picked up on Mondays.
But city officials said solid waste collection’s focus remains on removing storm debris using bulk collection crews and equipment. They said that storm collection may last several weeks, and monthly bulk collection will be suspended until that collection is done.
