A 25-year-old Lawton man is in jail on $50,000 bond after he was charged for child pornography.
Bradley Allen Jones Jr. made his initial appearance Tuesday in Comanche County District Court where he received felony charges of child sexual abuse material (buying, possessing or procuring) and violation of the Oklahoma computer crime act, records indicate. The child porn count is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and/or fine up to $25,000.
Lawton Police Detective Joshua Murrow stated he received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that included Jones’ email address and cell phone number. A search warrant was received for Jones’ home, cell phones, tablets, gaming consoles, hard drives, laptop computer and other forms of electronic media storage, the probable cause affidavit states. He was arrested.
Jones told police he had knowingly downloaded media files where he knew the people were under 16 at the time they were created, the affidavit states. He admitted that while knowing two of the people were under 16, he asked for photos and videos of them naked, Murrow stated. The parents of one of the people contacted Jones and told him to leave her alone but no report had been made, the detective stated.
Jones’ cell phone was reviewed and included a video file of a girl he admitted had been 15 at the time it was filmed and that he knew she was underage when he downloaded it, according to the affidavit.
As part of Jones’ bond conditions, he is to have no access to the internet. He returns to court at 3 p.m. April 29 for his preliminary hearing conference, records indicate.
