Cache was unable to get much offense going Thursday and wound up losing to Weatherford, 39-0, in a District 4A-1 battle.
The Bulldogs played well early on defense but with the offense unable to move the ball the Eagles just took over, scoring on offense, defense and special teams.
The Bulldogs were in the game at halftime, trailing by a 13-0 score.
But the Eagles were able to gash the Bulldogs with a couple of special teams touchdowns and a couple of fumble returns for scores.
Weatherford will face a tough task next week, coming to Elgin to face the No. 1-ranked Owls in what should be the district title showdown.

The Mustangs will turn around and play Stuart today in the semifinals at 1:30 p.m. also at Oklahoma Christian. Stuart ousted Asher Thursday by a score of 4-0. Also in Class B, Calumet routed Moss, 13-1, in five innings and Hammon beat Leedey, 4-0. Those two teams will collide at 11 a.m. today in the other semifinal.
For a time Thursday, it appeared that Sterling’s baseball team might advance in the Class A State Tournament as the Tigers led Rattan, 2-1, in the seventh. But Rattan, the No. 2 seed, rallied for a 3-2 victory to end the Tigers’ season.
Rattan will return to Edmond Santa Fe today at 1:30 p.m. to face Okarche, which beat Amber-Pocasset, 2-1.
The news wasn’t as good for Cyril as the Lady Pirates lost to Arapaho-Butler, 6-1, in the Class A State Fastpitch tournament.
