Following three days of trial and testimony, a Comanche County jury found a Lawton man not guilty of forcing his ex-girlfriend’s 9-year-old daughter to perform sex acts.
Jaalil Khaleem Robinson, 29, was found not guilty in Comanche County District Judge Emmit Tayloe’s courtroom for a felony count of forcible sodomy.
The girl told investigators Robinson had made lewd requests of her and she’d complied, according to the arrest warrant affidavit. The girl’s mother told Lawton Police investigators she confronted Robinson about the allegation after they’d broken up.
An arrest warrant was issued on April 29, 2022, and he was arrested by U.S. Marshals the next month in Cobb County, Ga.
According to a note submitted by the jury during deliberations, there was a question as to what to do with the jury split at an impasse with nine jurors leaning not guilty and three believing in Robinson’s guilt. After being told to deliberate further, they made their decision.
Robinson had been held on a $200,000 bond since his initial court appearance on May 31, 2022. He is now free and his bond rescinded.
