Police have released the name of the victim of a Friday morning fatal shooting on Lawton’s north side.
Anthony Montoya, 40, has been identified as the man killed in the incident.
Montoya was founded dead at the scene when Lawton police and firefighters were called around 7:45 a.m. to 2235 NW Hoover to a shooting and arrived. The 2300 block of Northwest Hoover Avenue was closed to the public Friday morning for investigative purposes.
The suspect identity is still under investigation and hasn’t been released.
Investigators continue to ask potential witnesses and neighbors with security video to contact Lawton police for further investigation.

Montoya’s shooting death is the city’s 15th homicide of this year, according to Constitution records.
