Suspect wanted for Indiahoma Ag Barn burglary

A break-in and burglary of the Indiahoma Public Schools Agricultural Barn has the law looking to arrest the suspect.

On Tuesday, the Comanche County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant for Jonathan Andrew Katvala, a.k.a. Yahne Suara, 31, for a count of second-degree burglary, records indicate. The crime is punishable by up to seven years in prison.

Comanche County Sheriff’s Deputy Pedro Pagan took a burglary report from the school around 9:35 p.m. Sept. 10. A faculty member told him she’d been called because someone broke into the FFA/4H barn and stole items as well as damaged the property, the warrant affidavit states.

A trail camera set up near one of the doors captured the suspect, identified as Katvala, a local individual known in the community, going into and leaving the building and taking items in a backpack and with a green dolly, according to the affidavit. It appeared the video feed had been tampered with, according to Pagan. Katvala is not a student or faculty member and had not been granted access to the building.

Katvala, described as standing 5-feet, 7-inches tall, weighing 175 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair was issued a $10,000 cash warrant bond upon his arrest.
