Southwest Oklahoma voters cast votes Tuesday in the Chattanooga and Fletcher public school districts to decide the fates of two bond issues in each district.
Those races were the only two in Comanche County.
The school bond issue races, which also affect voters in Cotton and Tillman counties, asked voters to decide. Results from the Oklahoma State Election Board.
•Chattanooga: Proposition 1: $850,000 to build, equip, repair and remodel school buildings, acquire furniture, fixtures and equipment, and acquire and improve school sites passed with a vote of 105 to 43..
Proposition 2: $85,000 for transportation equipment passed 109 to 42 votes.
•Fletcher: Proposition 1: $115,000 to build and furnish an indoor hitting facility for baseball/softball. Passed by a vote of 2 to 1.
Proposition 2: $250,000 to buy a school bus, activity bus and Suburban stalemated with 2 votes for and 2 votes against.
In Jackson County, Altus voters selected their candidates for Ward 1 and Ward 2 city council seats.
•Ward 1: Dillon Feazel gained 14 votes to Jonathan Eric Bergman’s 90- votes.
•Ward 2: Malcolm Dash won with 44 votes followed by C.J Morris with 20 votes and Terrence Filer’s 5 votes.
• Tillman County: Tipton Public Schools School Board Office 5: Jerry Stoll received 82 votes, and Sunnye Cope and Ken Waugh each received 58 votes.
