OKLAHOMA CITY — On Tuesday, Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond launched a campaign to help capture some of Oklahoma’s most wanted fugitives from justice.
In a partnership with the U.S. Marshals Service and other federal, tribal, state, county and local law enforcement agencies for help to identify the state’s 10 Most Wanted fugitives in an effort to hold them accountable for their actions. Individuals on the Most Wanted list are considered to pose serious threats to public safety.
“The fugitives on this list are a threat to public safety,” Drummond said in a statement. “It is critical that we work together to hold these individuals accountable for their alleged crimes. We hope to enlist the help of all Oklahomans in this campaign to get these dangerous criminals off the street.”
In some cases, financial rewards ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 are offered for anyone who can provide information directly leading to the arrest of a fugitive on the Most Wanted list. These fugitives are wanted for murder, sex crimes, assault, drug trafficking, robbery and other serious offenses. Several of these fugitives should be considered armed and dangerous.
Two of the inaugural 10 Most Wanted are for Southwest Oklahoma crimes and $1,000 rewards are offered in each of their arrests:
•Wenfred Louis Davis, a.k.a. Pop Davis, 48, is wanted for allegations of trafficking in fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Davis was stopped Aug. 12, 2021, for a traffic violation in Randlett where he was alleged to have been found to have heroin and meth.
He has prior charges of fentanyl trafficking, possession of meth, assault and battery, distribution of cocaine, domestic violence and for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Davis stands 5-feet, 9-inches tall, weighs 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
•Melvin Joe Stevenson, a.k.a. Melvin Joe Abraham, Herbert D. Stevenson, Anthony Rebels and Constance, 59, is wanted for allegations of trafficking in methamphetamine and larceny of merchandise from a retailer.
He was arrested April 29, 2022, for driving under suspension and during the stop, officers smelled marijuana and found a glass pipe with burnt residue and other drug-related items. During the vehicle inventory, meth was found.
Stevenson stands 5-feet, 8-inches tall and weighs 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Drummond said the list will be periodically updated as fugitives are captures and as other criminals pose new threats to public safety.
