Three people were charged, including a 16-year-old, for a July 2 armed robbery of a couple at a northeast Lawton apartment complex parking lot.
Davion Wilson, a.k.a., “Bag,” 16, was charged as a youthful offender Thursday in Comanche County District Court to felony charges of first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon, records indicate. He was charged as a youthful offender due to the violent nature of the crime.
Elijah Draja’on Smith, a.k.a., “Lil Ettg” or “E,” 21, of Cache, and Dejean Revere Shannon, a.k.a. “Luh Dee,” 20, each received the same charges as Wilson.
Lawton Police Officer Taylor Wattenberger responded to a robbery at 2802 NE 9th shortly after 5:45 p.m. July 2 and spoke to a man who said he and his girlfriend were outside in the apartment parking lot when a gray Nissan Ultima pulled in and parked beside his red Dodge Durango.
The three men, all wearing hospital masks and pointing handguns, jumped out of the Nissan, came at the couple and stole the man’s diamond Rolex watch valued at $10,000, a Louis Vuitton bag worth $1,200, a Coach wallet with $730 inside, a tan Glock 19x handgun, an iPhone and the title to his Dodge Durango, the probable cause affidavit states. He had video of the encounter.
The man used “Find My Phone” to track his iPhone to 2201 NW Hoover and police located the Nissan in the apartment parking lot. Police found three men matching the description from the video and the man and woman were brought to the scene where they identified them as the robbers, Wattenberger stated. The suspects were identified as Wilson, Smith and Shannon, the affidavit states.
Smith is being held on $100,000 bond and Shannon’s is $75,000. Both must have a GPS ankle monitor and have not contact with the man and woman as a condition for bail and they both return to court at 3 p.m. Sept. 3 for their preliminary hearing conferences, records indicate.
Wilson, whose parents were present at Thursday’s hearing, received $100,000 bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 2 p.m. Sept. 16 before Special District Judge Susan Zwaan.
