Lawton police have confirmed a Saturday morning stabbing turned fatal.
Police responded to an incident around 1 a.m. in the area of Northwest 23rd Street and Williams Avenue, according to Lt. Charles Whittington, Lawton Police information officer. One person was taken to a local hospital where they died.
“The Criminal Investigation Division is working this incident as a homicide,” he said. “All parties involved are accounted for at this time.”
The name of the victim was not released and what happened remains under investigation, Whittington said.
