The Lawton Fort Sill Chapter of The Compassionate Friends will hold its annual Walk to Remember on Saturday in Elmer Thomas Park.
Registration is $10 and will begin at 9 a.m. Walkers 9-and-under are free but must register. Only cash or check will be accepted.
The walk will begin at 10 a.m. at The Compassionate Children’s Memorial at Northwest 3rd Street and Ferris Avenue.
Refreshments and a raffle will be held after the walk. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three for $5. Bring your chairs.
T-shirts are for sale: $10 for “brights,” and $5 for “others.”
The Compassionate Friends is a non-profit worldwide organization that brings families of children who have died from any cause and age together. The Walk to Remember is one of three yearly fundraisers, which allows the organization to continue grief support and to maintain the memorial.
The chapter meets the first Thursday of each month.
