Lawton entities and organizations will hold the following ceremonies Monday in honor of Veterans Day:
Veterans Day Celebration, 8:30 a.m., south lawn of Lawton City Hall, Southwest 9th Street and Southwest C Avenue.
Comanche County Veterans Council Veterans Day Program, 11 a.m. Patriot Pavilion, Elmer Thomas Park, Northwest 3rd Street and Northwest Ferris Avenue.
Cameron University Veterans Day Celebration, 1 p.m., Veterans Grove on the north side of Howell Hall of Cameron University, 2800 W. Gore.
Sunset Memorial Gardens, 2 p.m. in the cemetery at 8900 Cache Road.
Comanche Indian Veterans Association Celebration and Powwow, beginning 2 p.m. at Watchetaker Hall of the Comanche Nation Complex, 584 NW Bingo Road (Medicine Park exit of I-44).
Comanche County Veterans Council Veterans Day Program, 11 a.m. at the Patriot Pavilion at Elmer Thomas Park.
Fort Sill National Cemetery won’t have a ceremony, but every grave site is marked with a flag to honor the veterans. The cemetery is located at 2648 NE Jack Dunn Road, Elgin.
