A Lawton man will serve life-plus in prison for molesting a 15-year-old girl since she was 4 years old.
Following jury trial, Albert Mares, 51, was found guilty of three counts of lewd molestation, two counts of first-degree rape of a child under 14, and single counts of forcible sodomy and second-degree rape.
The jury recommended he serve two life sentences for the forcible sodomy and second-degree rape counts and 20 years for each of the other charges. On Tuesday, Comanche County District Judge Grant Sheperd followed their guidance. The life sentences are consecutive.
The victim said Mares had molested and sexually abused her several times since she was 4 years old, the warrant affidavit states.
