TEMPLE — Erica Hill has been hired as superintendent of Temple Public Schools.
Hill, who is high school principal, will assume her duties for the 2024-25 school year. She will replace Randy Batt, who is retiring.
Hill is a 2011 graduate of Temple Public Schools. She obtained a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Cameron University in 2015. After graduation, she returned to Temple Public Schools as an elementary teacher in January 2016.
In 2021, she obtained a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Cameron University. She became a principal at Temple Elementary in 2021 and subsequently the Temple High School Principal in 2022. She completed her Master’s in Superintendency at Southeast Oklahoma State University in 2022.
Giving back to the school that gave so much to her has been one of the best and most fulfilling experiences for Hill. Her pride for her alma mater drives her passion for Temple Public Schools’ growth and success as well as maximizing the vision of reviving Temple Tiger traditions, according to a press release.
Erica and her husband Hunter live in Temple.
