NINNEKAH — Sterling posted a commanding 71-49 win over Ninnekah Tuesday night as senior Nate Anderson poured through 24 points to lead the way.
The win improved Sterling’s season record to 10-7.
Sterling took a 14-7 first quarter lead and extended the advantage to 35-16 at halftime. The Tigers continued their assault on Ninnekah in the second half with a 19-point third quarter followed by 17 in the fourth quarter.
Jayden Huitt contributed 11 points for Sterling while Tukker Hughes scored 10. Senior forward Hayden Taliaferro tallied nine points in the runaway win.
Sterling will host Alex Friday, Jan. 13 before playing in the Comanche County Tournament next week. Brackets for both boys and girls are published in this issue of the Southwest Chronicle.
