DUNCAN — A 36-year-old Stephens County man has been charged with sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl.
Lowell Eldon Miller III, of Comanche, made his initial appearance Friday in Stephens County District Court where he received a felony charge of sexual abuse of a child under 12, records indicate.
Duncan Police Detective Connor Newman stated he spoke with the girl’s mother on Wednesday after her daughter told her that morning Miller inappropriately touched her. While at the police department, the girl said he “keeps touching me and it hurts sometimes,” the probable cause affidavit states. There was another incident where another juvenile saw Miller leaning over the girl while she was lying in bed.
On May 20 or 21, the mother said she came home to find the girl “visibly upset” and holding her groin. When she asked what was wrong, Miller spoke over the girl and said she’d done the splits and hurt herself, according to the affidavit.
In a forensic interview, the girl said Miller wouldn’t stop touching her when she asked and he said, “Okay, but I want it,” the affidavit states. She also said Miller likes to play with his camera while he touches her, according to the detective.
A search warrant was executed and Miller’s electronic devices were seized as evidence, according to the affidavit.
In Miller’s initial appearance, the summary of facts were read into the court record but no bond was leveled.
