ANADARKO — Speeding while sleeting was blamed for a single vehicle wreck Saturday in Caddo County that sent an Anadarko man to an Oklahoma City hospital.
Tre Pederson, 26, was first taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital and admitted for external and internal arm and leg injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He was later transferred to OU Medical in Oklahoma City.
Pederson was driving a Chevrolet Impala northbound on an asphalt Caddo County street at a high rate of speed for the sleeting weather and failed to stop at a stop sign on Park Road, Trooper Jared Martinez reported. The Impala slid through the intersection before leaving the roadway and crashing into a tree 3 miles west of Anadarko. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
Speeding was cited as the collision’s cause.
