Sovereign Bank has announced the promotion of Rusty Taylor to the position of Senior Vice President, Regional Market President – Lawton & Greer County.
Taylor, initially joined the bank as Vice President, Commercial Lender. He has more than 15 years of banking experience, showcasing proficiency in credit analysis, consumer lending, and commercial lending, according to a press release.
“I am honored to take on this new role at Sovereign Bank. This aligns with my commitment to serving the community and supporting the growth of Oklahoma businesses,” said Taylor, a Southwest Oklahoma native. “I look forward to leading the team in Lawton and Greer County and continuing our mission of providing exceptional banking services.”
Taylor will oversee and expand the bank’s presence in the region, further solidifying Sovereign Bank’s commitment to fostering economic growth and prosperity, according to a press release.
Sovereign Bank is based in Shawnee with branches in Oklahoma City, Midwest City, Lawton, Holdenville, Granite, Mangum, Canute, and a LPO in Edmond. Chartered as First Oklahoma Bank in June 1983, it was purchased by the Citizen Potawatomi Nation in February 1989, and changed its name to First National Bank & Trust, now Sovereign Bank. Its assets exceed $900 million.
