CACHE — A Thursday morning single-vehicle wreck blamed on sleepy driving in Comanche County sent an Altus man to the hospital.
Christopher A. Stinnett, 32, was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in stable condition with head and leg injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Stinnett was driving a Dodge Ram westbound on Cache Road shortly before 1:45 a.m. Thursday when he went off the asphalt roadway to the right and struck a tree west of the intersection of Northwest Airport Road, one-half mile from Cache, Trooper Luke Norton stated.
The driver was wearing his seatbelt.
Norton reported sleepy driving as the collision’s cause.
