CHARLESTON, S.C. — Zachary Shell, Lawton, was recognized for honors at The Citadel for the Spring 2023 semester.
Shell qualified for the Dean’s List, reserved for students with a grade point average of 3.20 or higher in at least 12 semester hours. Cadets named to the list receive a medal, to be worn on their uniform during the semester following their academic achievement. Non-cadets receive a certificate.
Shell also received a Gold Star, reserved for cadets and students who achieve a 3.7 grade point average or higher. Cadets may wear the gold star on their uniforms through the semester following their award.
