The City of Lawton will conduct routine server maintenance Nov. 8-9, and during that period, some city offices will experience temporary changes in their payment methods.
The building division (license and permits), neighborhood services, police records and Lawton landfill will be unable to accept card payments, and will only accept cash or checks on those two days. Those who want to pay by card for license and permit activities should pay by Nov. 7. Lawton Animal Welfare will accept cash only during this time and there is an ATM machine in the lobby of the building.
Lakes services also will be accepting only cash payments. Those who need permits should visit Lake Headquarters at 23510 State Highway 58 for paper permits for hunting/fishing/boating permits. Their hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Utility Services still will accept card payments on these days because that division is on a different system. In addition, Municipal Court operations will not be affected.
City officials said the scheduled maintenance is designed to improve internal processes and enhance customer service efficiency. All systems are expected to return to normal by Nov. 11.
