A man is wanted after, police said, he decided to show he wasn’t chicken following a verbal fight at a restaurant by bashing in a truck windshield with a large rock.
The Comanche County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant Wednesday for Steven Lee Trest, 28, for a count of malicious injury to property over $1,000, records indicate.
Lawton police began investigating after the Jan. 8 incident at Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, 805 N. Sheridan.
The vehicle owner said he’d gotten into an argument with an unknown man inside the restaurant before the man left and he sat down for dinner. When he went to leave, the man found his vehicle with a broken front windshield and body damage, the warrant affidavit states. Damages totaled $2,748.28 to repair, Detective Felix Santillan stated.
Restaurant video showed the suspect to be Trest due to identification of his facial features and tattoos to his wrist and neck, according to the affidavit.
In the video, Trest is seen walking to the man’s vehicle and slamming a large rock on the windshield with the rock rolling down and damaging the hood, Santillan stated.
A $100,000 cash warrant bond was issued upon Trest’s arrest.
