A fentanyl trafficking charge was filed Tuesday against a Lawton Correctional Facility inmate.
The Comanche County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant for Omarion Kentrell Logan, 21, for a count of fentanyl trafficking, records indicate. The crime is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine between $100,000 and $250,000.
The charge stems from a March 29 visit to the prison, 8607 SE Flower Mound Road, by his girlfriend, Miracle Michala Dixon.
Following their visitation, Logan was searched and corrections officers discovered 6 grams of fentanyl in a small package wrapped with black electrical tape, the warrant affidavit states. An “extremely agitated” Logan was not interviewed, according to investigators.
Dixon was stopped before she could leave the facility. She admitted to investigators she carried the package into the prison, the affidavit states. She said Logan had given her a phone number to call and she was directed to a Lawton address where she picked up the pre-wrapped package.
The package, which Dixon believed to be tobacco, was hidden under her bra, and she handed it to Logan under the table, according to the affidavit. Dixon said it was her first time bringing contraband to Logan. She said she’s known him seven years and she’d visited him three times, including that day
Dixon, 21, of Tulsa, made her initial appearance April 3 in Comanche County District Court where she was charged with felony counts of fentanyl trafficking and conspiracy, records indicate. She posted the $70,000 bond and was freed from the Comanche County Detention Center two days later
Logan is serving an eight-year sentence for an October 2020 conviction in Tulsa County for a count of robbery or attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to Oklahoma Department of Corrections records.
