Dale Perry emerged as this week’s top bowler, posting an impressive 761 series in the Entertainers senior league at Thunderbird Lanes last Wednesday afternoon. Perry was in fine form during the league’s third-quarter position round, rolling games of 278, 246, and 237.
Jeff Janssen was close behind, trailing by just 10 pins, with a 751 series in the His and Hers league. Janssen’s games of 237, 255, and 259 secured his position, but he also took a moment to congratulate fellow league member Jay Ramey for achieving his first career 700 series. Ramey, who bowls off a 180 average, posted an outstanding 743 series with games of 255, 212, and 276.
Coming in third highest in the His and Hers league was Troy Hardin, who rolled games of 246, 218, and 278 for a 742 series.
In the Early Birds league, Bruce Flack stood out with a 728 series, featuring games of 264, 186, and 278. Danny Carson led the TNT league with a solid 715 series on games of 226, 257, and 232, while Tyler Price followed closely with a 705 series, including games of 244, 195, and 266.
Suburban League highlights showed that Tory Morales delivered a stellar 715 series for the high set of the night. Jeff Janssen was next with a 705 series. The high game of the week came from Ian Gordon, who rolled a career-high 280 game in the Suburban league, earning him a spot on the honor roll for the first time in years.
Honorable mentions go to Morales for his strong performance in the Southwest Tournament in Wichita. With weeks remaining, Morales is currently sitting in 27th place out of 548 entries. Congratulations also to Vanda Edmondson for rolling a remarkable 204 game off a 129 average in the Entertainers league, marking her debut on the honor roll.
Youth Bowling
Jake Croft was the youth league’s top performer, rolling a 582 series in the T-Bird Legends league, highlighted by a 231 game. Peyton Smith secured second place with a 563 series, narrowly edging out his younger sister Symphony, who rolled a 562 series that included a 218 game. Peyton’s top game was a 202.
In the U12 HotShots league, DJ Scott led with a 517 series, including games of 169, 286, and 162. Kennedi Hicks achieved a career-high 352 series on games of 109, 89, and 154, surpassing her 91 average.
Among the bumper assist bowlers in the T-Bird MiniShots, Lila Nunez celebrated her first 100 game with a score of 102.
