OKLAHOMA CITY – House Rep. Daniel Pae, R-Lawton, and Rep. Arturo Alonso-Sandoval, D-Oklahoma City, will host an interim study on artificial intelligence Wednesday during a session in the State Capitol.
Participants will discuss the integration of artificial intelligence in education, patient care, and within the Oklahoma government, exploring ideas to present to the next legislative session.
“I look forward to continuing the conversation we started a year ago about AI policy in Oklahoma,” said Pae. “We’ll be discussing practical use cases on how AI will affect our everyday lives. I hope we can brainstorm ideas for legislation to work on during next session.”
“Artificial intelligence systems are continuing to gain prominence in all areas,” said Alonso-Sandoval. “I’m excited to join Rep. Daniel Pae on our second interim study dealing with AI technologies. This time we hope to gain a better understanding of specific use cases to ensure Oklahoma becomes a leader in responsible deployment of AI systems in all areas, including state government, healthcare, education, and criminal justice.”
The session will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Room 5S2 at the Oklahoma Capitol.
