TULSA — A Wichita Falls, Texas, man listed to the Oklahoma Attorney General’s 10 Most Wanted list for a fatal 2022 wreck while driving high on methamphetamines has been caught in Texas.
On Jan. 6, Attorney General Gentner Drummond added Michael Christopher Marlow, 43, was added to the list for causing a deadly crash in 2022 in Cotton County. Officers determined Marlow crossed a center median and crashed head-on into another car, which rolled and caught fire killingCrystal M. Martinez, 39, of Byers, Texas. Marlow had methamphetamines in his blood system at the time.
“This arrest demonstrates our commitment to bringing dangerous offenders to justice, no matter where they attempt to hide,” said Drummond. “I commend our investigators and our law enforcement partners in Texas for their exceptional collaboration in locating and apprehending this fugitive who fled our state to escape accountability.”
Investigators from the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office traced Marlow to a residential address in Fort Worth, Texas. The information was shared with the Texas Attorney General’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit, which coordinated the arrest operation.
Marlow has prior convictions of driving without valid driver’s license, driving while suspended, engaging in organized criminal activity, driving under the influence and fleeing a police officer.
Marlow was charged in May 2023 in Cotton County District Court with a felony charge of first-degree manslaughter and misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and failure to keep right, records indicate. His bond was set at $150,000.
