A Lawton nonagenarian was recently honored by the City of Lawton.
Eloise Paul received a Lawton Citation awarded by Mayor Stan Booker and Deputy City Manager Dewayne Burk and presented by Ward 7 City Councilwoman Sherene L. Williams. She was also awarded the Ward 7 City of Lawton Coin, presented by Williams for her excellence, integrity, service and dedication.
Paul turned 90 on Feb. 25 and celebrated the occasion on March 15 with family and friends. She is the widow of the late Staff Sgt. Fils Paul and the mother of Ralph Paul, Randy Paul and Cathy Miller.
A resident of Lawton since 1953, Paul served as director of the Fort Sill teen Club, according to Williams.
“Mrs. Paul has reached the milestones of 90 years, a life filled with wisdom and a legacy of kindness and compassion,” she said. “Mrs. Paul has always been a source of strength and inspiration for her family and friends, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her dedication to the community has made a meaningful difference in the lives of many.”
