More area teams begin playoff action this week

Numerous area teams will be competing in playoffs in slow-pitch softball, baseball, soccer, along with track and field over this week starting with soccer matches involving two area teams.

MacArthur boys qualified for the playoffs and will begin with a match Monday at Oklahoma City Southeast at 7 p.m. At the same time Monday, Duncan girls will be hosting Southeast at Halliburton Stadium.

Also Monday, track and field regionals in 4A, 3A, 2A, and A will conducted after they were postponed Saturday because the serious storm outbreak.

Class 6A regional—Lawton High vs. Edmond Santa Fe, 11 a.m., Thursday at Edmond Santa Fe

Class 6A regional—Eisenhower vs. Edmond North, 11 a.m., Thursday at Edmond North

Class 5A regional—Altus vs. Shawnee, 1:30 p.m., Thursday at Carl Albert

Class 5A regional—US Grant vs. Duncan, 11 a.m., Thursday at Duncan; El Reno vs. MacArthur, 1:30 p.m., Thursday at Duncan

Class 5A regional—Western Heights vs. Elgin, 11 a.m., Thursday at Elgin

Class 4A regional—Marlow vs. Byng, Thursday, 1:30 p.m. at Marlow; Marlow vs. Bridge Creek, 4 p.m. Thursday at Marlow
