DUNCAN — A Marlow man pleaded guilty to threatening a woman in November 2023.
Ricky Scott Glisson Jr., 35, of Marlow, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Stephens County District Court to a felony count of planning an act of violence, records indicate.
District Judge Brent G. Russell sentenced Glisson to a 10-year suspended sentence with the order to have no contact with the woman. He must also undergo an anger management course, undergo a mental health evaluation and follow the recommendations and 40 hours of community service. He also will undergo two years of Oklahoma Department of Corrections supervision.
Police were called shortly after 9:15 p.m. Nov. 6, 2023, to a possible sexual assault happening in the 1000 block of North Railroad Street and arrived to find the woman and a witness. They each said the woman was cooking popcorn at a home when Glisson told the woman to come toward him.
The woman said when she did what he asked, Glisson grabbed her, pulled her pants down and said he was “going to kill her,” according to the probable cause affidavit. The witness said he separated them.
Glisson has been held on $25,000 bond with the order to have no contact with the woman since his initial court appearance on Nov. 7, 2023e, records indicate.
